Music & Dancing

Live or recorded music may be played during your civil ceremony, reception or wedding breakfast - or all three! Soloists or small groups of musicians playing light classical, jazz, popular or country music are ideal and the acoustics work wonderfully in our 18th century great hall.

For your evening party, if your guest numbers are under 100 and you choose largely acoustic music, you can return to the great hall for dancing and drinks. Some of our clients do this for an hour or two after the meal, before starting the disco. If you are inviting more evening guests, or want to dance to a DJ, live band or other amplified music, your party will move to our vaulted undercroft rooms. The original pillars and arches create a night club ambience, and the bar area has direct access to the gardens.
