The evening reception

Nearly everyone likes to have an evening party to round off their wedding day and we can offer something really special - our cellar bar and dance room. These can accommodate up to 150 guests, with facilities for a pay or free bar as you choose. People are always amazed at this wonderful and unexpected space, with its original pillars and vaulting.

For your day guests, it creates a great 'scene shift' after the ceremony, reception and wedding breakfast. If you are having additional evening guests, you can treat them to a welcome drink in the great hall upstairs, mingling with the day guests before everyone comes downstairs to party.

We recommend a simple, tasty rustic buffet of excellent local cheeses and cold meats - order whatever quantities you like. Or you could have a traditional hog roast.

The bar and music finish at 11.30 p.m. for a midnight departure.
