The evening reception

Our cellar bar and dance rooms are interconnecting spaces with original pillars and vaulting. They can accommodate up to 150 guests, with facilities for a pay or free bar as you prefer.

Additional evening guests may be offered a drink in the great hall upstairs, mingling with the day guests before everyone comes downstairs to party. For all-day guests, the move creates an interesting 'scene shift' after the formal events.

We recommend a simple, tasty rustic buffet of excellent local cheeses and cold meats - we usually suggest full quantities for evening guests and half for day guests. Alternatively, you can have a traditional hog roast which would be set up outside at the top of a short flight of steps leading up from the bar room.

The bar and music finish at 11.30 p.m. for a midnight departure.
